Terms of service

Astral Terminal is a free, fan-made site for Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, run by J (contact [email protected]). By using the site you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to trap anyone: if something here is unclear, ask on the Discord or by email. How your data is handled is covered separately in the privacy policy.

What the site is, and what it is not

Scores, damage numbers, ranks, odds and recommendations are our own calculations, built on simulations and assumptions that the methodology page explains. They are estimates to help you compare builds, not official figures, and they can change when the game changes or when we improve a model: a board can be recalculated, and every entry on it can move.

The site is offered as it is, for free. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a feature will stay the same. Game data comes from Enka.Network and, for pull imports, from HoYoverse’s own services; when they are down or change, parts of the site may stop working until we catch up.

Accounts

  • Most of the site works without an account. If you create one, you need to be at least 13, or older if the law where you live requires it.
  • One person, one account. Keep your login to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with it.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

Game UIDs

Only link UIDs you actually control. Linking is done by putting a code in your in-game signature, which only the owner of the game account can do. If a UID turns out to have been linked by someone who does not own it, we will unlink it and may suspend the account that did it.

Anyone can look up any UID: an in-game showcase is public, and the site shows what the game already shows to anyone who looks. Scans are fetched from Enka by our server, never typed in by a visitor, so what a profile shows is what the game reported.

What you can and cannot do

Please don’t:

  • Pretend to be someone else: another player, a content creator, our staff, Comet, HoYoverse or the site itself. Some names are reserved for that reason.
  • Post anything hateful, sexual, violent, harassing or illegal as a username, status quote, avatar, banner, card background or roster art. Keep it something you would show in a game’s community space.
  • Upload images you have no right to use, or someone else’s personal information.
  • Game the leaderboards: scores are calculated by our server from your in-game showcase, and trying to get around that (fake data, other people’s UIDs, exploiting a bug) is not allowed.
  • Overload or attack the site: no mass or automated scanning, scraping, looking up UIDs in bulk, or poking at other people’s data. The site has limits in place, and getting around them counts as abuse.

Found a bug or a security problem? Tell us at [email protected] instead of using it. We are grateful for those reports and fix them quickly.

Things you upload or write

What you upload or write (images, your status quote, feedback) stays yours. By posting it you let us store it and show it on the site, and, for feedback, in our Discord, for as long as it is up. You can remove your own images and text at any time, and deleting your account removes them. We may remove anything that breaks these terms, and anyone can report art they think does.

Moderation

To keep the site usable for everyone, we may remove content, reset a username, hide or unlink a UID, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. For anything short of obvious abuse we will try to tell you why, and you can always ask us to take another look.

Supporting the project

The site is free. If you support it on Patreon, payments and refunds are handled by Patreon under its own terms. Any perks for supporters are cosmetic: no tool or score is ever kept behind a payment.

Other services

The site relies on Enka.Network, HoYoverse, Discord, Google, Supabase and Cloudflare, and links to some of them. We are not responsible for their services, their availability, or what they do with data you give them directly; their own terms apply.

Ownership

The site’s code, design, simulations and original text belong to Astral Terminal. Game names, characters, artwork and other game material belong to HoYoverse and are used here as fan content. You are welcome to share screenshots, links and the share cards the site makes.

Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Astral Terminal is not liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on its numbers: an in-game decision, a pull you made, a build you changed. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer where you live.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with them, and bigger changes are announced on the updates page. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
